Mr. Smith brings over 20 years of automotive manufacturing experience to his position of Engineering Manager. Mr. Smith designed plastic injection molds and stamping dies alongside being a CAD (NX) instructor before joining the Northern Team in 2001. With 11 years as Design Engineer under his belt, Mr. Smith’s projects have included non-linear Finite Element Analysis, GD&T, cost estimation, weld fixture design, and project management, amongst many other responsibilities . His most notable accomplishments were the many projects he helmed that exceeded customer expectations while maintaining reduced mass and cost. Mr. Smith’s incredible knowledge and vast experience makes him an invaluable resource to Northern and the customers we serve.
